The interpretation examples that we are suggesting are very far from being exhaustive: they only show and outline a general frame describing the issues of the planetary function. They should therefore not be taken literally. Each being brings indeed its own responses, more or less original, to the questions raised by a planetary function. There is no magic formula. Through using the R.E.T. and of the Theory of Ages and combining logic, observation and imagination, you will be able to develop a thousand other possible meanings, a thousand other variations on the same theme.
Generally: maintaining the unique. Maintenance and reproduction of standards, codes, concepts, theories, models, goals, projects, images, principles, symbols. Conservation and reinforcement of the hierarchies in place, of central positions. The absolute short term: the instant, the moment. The superlative image: the cliché. The ultra-personal: the individual. Maintenance of clear consciousness, states of hyper-vigilance. Total involvement: faith, passion, unreserved support. Reinforcement of the known: knowledge in place, indubitable knowledge, luminous evidence, acquired certainty. Maintaining appearance: brand image.
Psychologically: To be recognized, admired or respected a priori, as soon as you appear as a unique, exemplary, important individual. To be a reference center. Attach extreme care to the image that we give and that we have of ourselves. Maintain at all costs a vigilant and clear conscience, a dominant point of view. Identifying with goals, principles, models, ideals, theories and certainties, preferably rewarding ones, and never losing sight of them, reaffirming them with faith and passion. Become fully involved in what you say and think. Control yourself and stay worthy. Have noble attitudes.
The positive characteristics of the solar function are the communicative sociability (trio Extensive representation of which Mercury and Venus also belong), the decisive willpower (trio intensive representation of which Jupiter and Uranus are also part) and the Extensive power (associated with Mars and Pluto)
Solar needs for its full development to develop intense social exchanges, where it preferably occupies a situation that it would like to be rewarding, central, recognized, exemplary. From his point of view, the esteem of others is neither negotiable nor to be conquered: it is a due, a prerequisite and, if he has easy admiration, he also wants in return to be himself unconditionally admired. Noble, dignified, upright, loyal, demanding and transparent in their relationships, they seek the approval of others, ensuring as much as possible never to disappoint the expectations placed on them. Idealistic and proud, extremely attentive to the image he gives of himself, he strives to always live up to his own character so as not to fail or disappoint. His sociability does not support confusion, mediocrity, baseness, petty calculations, and even less competition. He knows how to use communication conventions and mold himself into the role expected of him.
Solar loves clarity, sharpness, precision. He is totally involved, with extreme passion in everything he does and says. He controls himself, masters himself and intends to control and master everything around him. His narrow field of consciousness encourages him to stubbornly pursue the goals and objectives he has set for himself and with which he identifies unreservedly. He is driven by unshakable convictions, sacrosanct principles, absolutist ideals, essential values on which he is incapable of compromising. Tense and ambitious, determined and determined, he intends to reign without fault and without division, with a sovereign authority, on the field which is his, and thus become an example, a reference, a model to follow and imitate. He pays crucial attention to the social role assigned to him and has a taste for appearances to the highest degree. Extremely sensitive to honors and public recognition, he aspires to be the unique center of someone or something.
In negative, solar completely lacks common sense, realism and pragmatism. He is the prisoner of narrow and rigid conceptions which he refuses to confront with the reality of the facts: it would be for him to forfeit his throne if he were to adapt to the requirements of the concrete situation in which he is plunged, to recognize the obstacles or seize opportunities. He flees and fears the rough realities of existence, those which are rebellious to his plans and his ideals. He refuses frank confrontations, hand-to-hand combat, rivalry and competition where nothing is won in advance, where you have to fight to find your place.
In positive, solar has ideals so high that it is able to maintain them whatever the contrary circumstances and whatever the cost from the point of view of its concrete conditions of existence. To unbridled materialism, to activities exclusively oriented towards the concrete and the tangible, he opposes his haughty and proud solitude.
In negative, the solar, excessively polarized on the image it wants to give of itself, on its appearance, on its social character, comes to cut itself off from its deep roots, from its inalienable authenticity. His obsessive need to be admired, recognized, accepted prevents him from any creative originality and any irrational fantasy. By dint of wanting to live in a normalized, clear, known, elucidated world, he fears above all the overflows of the unconscious, the outbursts of the incomprehensible, the manifestations of mystery, the irruptions of the unexpected. He suppresses his moods and his deep aspirations, for fear that they destabilize him in his tense certainties.
In positive, the solar benefits from a clear and hyper-attentive conscience which makes it vigilant and impervious to any fantasy, any delirium, any rambling. Rational, he is wary of hallucinations, wanderings of the imagination, siren songs, exaltations coming from who knows where and which risk leading nowhere.
In negative, the solar represses or deeply inhibits his emotions, his affects, his feelings. Stiff, stilted, tense, solitary, fixed in his attitudes and his principles, he always intends to give of himself the same image, both perfect and artificial, whatever the sensations that pass through him and considers that abandoning himself to the joys and pleasures of the flesh, to physical contact, to the quivering sharing of the senses would be unworthy of him. He lacks human warmth, affectionate spontaneity, joyful sensibility. On his frozen mask no laughter can burst nor flow any tear. Love is for him a disorder, compassion a culpable weakness, burning desires sordid debauchery.
In positive, sunscreen knows how to keep its self-control, master its mood swings, contain its epidermal reactivity, keep its ideas clear in the midst of emotional outbursts. No emotional or sensory temptation can divert him from his straight path and make him renounce his principles.
In negative, the solar lacks distance vis-à-vis itself, its ideas, its values, its passions, its beliefs, its certainties. Too attached to the models transmitted, too dependent on the gaze of others, too attached to their known patterns, they are anxious at the idea of being projected into the unknown, of seeing their certainties crumble and their acquired positions called into question. His pride turns into self-satisfied vanity. By dint of wanting to simplify and clarify everything, he comes to deny and reject the subtleties and complexities of reality. He flees doubt, criticism, skepticism, ambiguities, paradoxes, questions without obvious answers. He prefers to repeat himself than to discover.
In positive, solar knows how to protect itself against the demons of dispersion. To skeptical sneers, systematic critics and haircutters, he firmly opposes the luminous simplicity of his imperturbable certainties that nothing can destabilize. He abhors dark shenanigans and dark manipulations.

Les significations planétaires
par
620 pages.
