The interpretation examples that we are suggesting are very far from being exhaustive : they only show and outline a general frame describing the issues of the aspect. They should therefore not be taken literally. Each being brings indeed its own responses, more or less original, to the questions raised by an aspect. There is no magic formula. Through using the R.E.T. and the Theory of Ages and combining logic, observation and imagination, you will be able to develop a thousand other possible meanings, a thousand other variations on the same theme.
“Big E” issue (extensive Existence). How to blend maintaining duos and duels (Mars ‘eE’) with switching from the duo-duel to the multiple (Saturn ‘tE’)? How to operate together a pressing need for action and an experimental scepticism? How to stay frank and realistic while pondering the complexities of experience? This aspect excludes levels ‘R’ (communicative sociability), ‘r’ (decisive willpower) and ‘T’ (prospective imagination).
You are characterized by great rigor in the way you act and confront people, things and circumstances. You are realistic and methodical, combative and organized, determined and thoughtful. Your composure is matched only by your pugnacity. The strategic distance you take from your struggles and experiences makes you very effective in deep concrete work, long-term works that require endurance, tenacity, physical and cerebral resistance. Difficult, thankless or complex situations, far from discouraging you, stimulate your fighting spirit. Enterprising researcher and practical mind, you wonder about the enigmas and mysteries of the material world, probe, test and dig beings and things to perfect your means of action and discover their hidden springs. A man of action, you are also wise and meditative, anxious to give your life and your experiences an extra-personal dimension.
Balanced dissonance : you switch alternately from a pressing need for action (Mars) to an experimental scepticism (Saturn), without being able to bring yourself to choose. Depending on whether one or the other function dominates in your experience, you can adopt the following attitudes :
If and when Mars dominates : you seem unable to take any distance whatsoever in your immediate experience. Devoured by your impatience to act, to launch yourself passionately into the experience, you neglect all calculation, all strategy, all prudence. The long-term consequences of your rash actions don’t seem to worry you. You exhaust yourself in struggles and various conflicts so as not to have to question yourself about the root causes of your behaviors. Point-blank activism is for you a remedy, often worse than the disease, against melancholy, doubt, disenchantment. You fear situations of idleness where there is nothing to do, where you risk finding yourself faced with yourself, your questions, confronted with the deep meaning of your existence. Your down-to-earth realism makes you reject abstractions, which you consider useless waste of time.
If and when Saturn dominates : paralyzed by doubt and questions, you find it difficult to act and react in a timely manner. Prisoner of your world of abstractions, austere thoughts and complicated reasoning, you desert the lived experience and its inevitable struggles. You always find good, deep and philosophical reasons for doing nothing, refusing confrontation, experience, confrontation with beings, things and situations. Your rational or romantic quest for an elsewhere or a hidden meaning, your excess of hindsight, disenchantment or caution prevent you from taking life head on, from living and enjoying your present situation intensely. By dint of coldness, calculation, distance, you run the risk of disembodiing yourself, of mutilating your sensations, your feelings.
If you learned to control this dissonance, you know that there is a time for experimental curiosity and a time for indulging in your liking for pure action, and know how to flawlessly alternate these two functions.
If you managed to sublimate this dissonance, you have deliberately sacrificed any fruitless and thoughtless frenzy of activity for the sake of a laborious experimental research ; or you have abdicated any disenchanted pursuit of the hidden meaning of your experiences in favour of the concrete battles in which you feel involved.
